There aren’t only edible treats to enjoy if you go and have breakfast, lunch or dinner in the outdoor restaurant. Extraordinary delights are offered visually here too. An unimpaired view of the Kruger National Park with the largest concentration of wildlife here is a true feast for the eyes. Especially when the numerous inhabitants of the jungle come out of the bush thickets to seek refreshment on the banks of the Nwanetsi River.

The only things that are cool in the Main Lodge are the tasty drinks and the refreshing shade provided by the round timber roof structures and the pleasant sunshades on the outside facilities. A winter lounge, lounge bar, café, outdoor and indoor restaurants all lead out to nature outside and from every angle, they offer uninterrupted views of adventurous life in the South African wilderness.

Exquisite lightness and a pleasant feeling of togetherness result from a successful combination of natural materials, steel, wood and wickerwork. The seemingly almost weightless roofs are built from round timber. The comfortable outside terrace offers breathtaking views around the boundary of the Lebombo mountain range.

You would hardly ever imagine the suites are there, blending naturally as they do into the jungle surroundings like originally camouflaged eagles’ nests. The suites are made entirely of wood and glass. The wooden fittings surround the glass lofts almost playfully. Casually arranged blinds protect without smothering and give an overall impression of harmony of traditional construction methods and the modernness of glass in peaceful accord with nature.

The comfortable “camp-bed” with a mosquito net offers a dream-like experience in the open air.

The private sun-decks offer freedom and comfort for extraordinary flights of fancy. They’re an ideal observation platform for watching nature in any way.
